Cancer Statistics
According to the American Cancer Society, over 1.4 million people in the United States were diagnosed with cancer in 2007. In the state of Michigan alone, more that 50,000 patients are diagnosed with cancer annually. Along with these new patients, many who have already been diagnosed with cancer often find themselves in need of financial assistance.

Research
Even after we have eliminated every type of cancer to date, research will be needed to stop new strains of the disease. The PFRF believes that a portion of its donations should be used to help solve this puzzling disease called cancer. Each month a donation will be made on behalf of the PFRF to a select cancer research organization.
